Victor Valley High School promotes college and career readiness.  We have exceptional AP classes, an outstanding AVID program, and amazing career pathways in the fields of medical, construction, auto, graphic arts, culinary arts, computer literacy, video gaming, and so much more.   Two of our medical students earned gold and silver at Skills USA at the National level, and several of our medical and construction students placed first at Skills USA at the State level.

Victor Valley High School strives for excellence in academics, career and college readiness, and athletics.  We continue to create a safe and positive school environment where students and staff behave The Jackrabbit Way:  Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.

Victor Valley High School provides a safe, clean environment for students, staff and volunteers. Built in 1952, with expansions in 1964 and from 1970-2005. Victor Valley High School is situated on 68 acres, the school buildings span 203,431 square feet, consisting of the cafeteria, staff lounge, stadium, 9 computer labs, two gymnasiums, 89 classrooms, and four new portables which provides adequate space for students, staff, and visitors. The school is undergoing ongoing modernization, including the installation of a multipurpose/performance center, classrooms, a state-of-the-art chemistry lab, the family engagement center, and administration buildings. This project is expected to be finished by February 2019. the facility strongly supports teaching and learning, visual and performing arts, family engagement, collaboration, and intervention.

Safety concerns are the number one priority of the maintenance and operations department. District maintenance supervisors are proactive and conduct inspections at school sites on a continual basis. Repairs necessary to keep the school in good repair and working order are completed in a timely manner. A work order process is used to ensure efficient service and that emergency repairs are given the highest priority. The most recent completed fit inspection was conducted in August 2018.

Victor Valley High School opened a completed fitness center, culinary arts center, and medical technology center in the 2011-2012 school-year. The fitness center allows our students to do cardio, lift weights, dance, and other aerobic activities. The culinary arts program offers a beginning food preparation program, restaurant management, catering, and baking classes. The culinary arts facility will allow our students to create a modern restaurant facility that will focus on all aspects of culinary arts career opportunities. The medical technology center is a modern medical facility furnished with industry standard medical equipment. It is our vision that students will be trained and certified in numerous entry-level medical professions. Some of the courses being offered are EKG Monitoring, Phlebotomy, Medical Terminology, Medical Billing, Physical Therapy, and Hospital Careers. New signage is going up in December 2018 to identify all CTE areas. Our CTE courses currently meet A-G requirements and allow students to meet a variety of career pathways. Our current College and Career Readiness data recognizes our efforts as we are blue on the 2018 indicator.

Safety of the school facility is a ongoing area of priority and support for VVUHSD. Victor Valley High School ensures students are safe on school grounds before, during, and after school. The school has well maintained perimeter fencing and is provided security officers staffed at a district ratio of 250:1. Supervision during the school day is an assumed responsibility of all administrative, staff, and security officers. All students events and programs that extend beyond the regular school day are provided with security officers and are supervised by an administrator or administrative designee. The use of a security camera system also supports the supervision and safety of students.

Victor Valley High School has modernized all permanent facilities with technology conducive to a productive learning environment. The modernization included new ceilings, carpet, cabinets, sound systems, and LCD projectors. These classrooms will provide the needed resources to prepare our students for the 21st century.

Our football field and track were updated over the summer of 2018 and replaced with turf. This adds a modernized feeling to the campus and better supports athletics as our track was unusable for track meets and practice. The new track will allow for more students to participate and the new track and field give the students more pride in their school.

We continue to enhance our campus with signage and banners in an effort to not only beautify our campus but to also recognize our many accomplishments.

A new administration building along with a new performing arts center and outdoor quad were completed and opened on July 1, 2019. This area was under construction for nearly 8 years and it hindered students having a common location for lunch other than the cafeteria. We were elated to have a performing arts center on campus for the first time, and we were happy to finally reopen our senior lawn which has been closed since construction. Not only is this a tradition and gathering place, but it is also adds to the school culture.

Handicapped parking at our football field has been added where there once was dirt. The front building parking area was redone to add more parking. This also improved the aesthetics and has helped keep the area clean and less cluttered.
